Marsh Gibbon Pre-School

About us.

Marsh Gibbon Pre-School opened in 1976. It operates from four rooms within a community hall in the village of Marsh Gibbon, taking children from 2 years old - 4 years 11 months. Marsh Gibbon Pre-School is currently managed by Kate Worts who holds a BA Honours in Professional Practice, alongside a team of highly qualified Early Years Professionals. The preschool is also managed by a committee of parents and serves the local area and surrounding villages.

Marsh Gibbon Pre-School stands for high-quality early education. We have a good, wholehearted, committed team that is all fully qualified and holds many years’ of experiences between them. We want the absolute best for your children, right from their very first learning experiences. We provide experience that will support your child to develop in all areas from communication and language to mathematics and emotional development.

Our Preschool achieves all objectives by offering space for moving around, plenty of opportunity for play, a variety of resources for all children to be creative, an adaptable home area for children to re-enact real-life experiences out, a fully equipped mark-making area to develop those crucial fine motor skills for writing later on and we also offer a free flow system into our Garden.

At Marsh Gibbon Preschool we engage with a wide range of extra-curricular activities that support the development of children, such as weekly P.E. sessions. We have a large garden area, with lots of natural resources including a mud kitchen area, a growing space, and an extremely popular bug hotel. Our preschool offers free flow in all weathers.

At Marsh Gibbon Pre-School we enjoy exploring the local area, this involves walking to the local duck pond, embracing the local community. The preschool is ideally located next to outdoor park facilities which provide the children with great opportunities for learning.

We offer a lending Library service to all children of the preschool where they can take books home to share and read with their families. We recognise that sharing stories is vital to children’s development of communication and literacy.

Each child is treated individually at Marsh Gibbon Pre-School, and we aim to meet every child's individual needs and stages of development by exploring their interests and abilities.
